Since Moscow Mitch’s sham impeachment trial in the senate there have been multiple and disparate opinions about the political fallout from what can only be labeled another “laughable reality show.”

The American people are tired of watching the Republican party execute a single tactic when they or their party’s immoral leader are challenged for their corrupt and unconstitutional actions. They attack their accusers because the truth will prove that the claims of their adversaries are valid.

Knowing that the Republican controlled senate would obey the directive of Moscow Mitch McConnell on Wednesday, Speaker Nancy Pelosi acted in a demonstrative and defining manner at the end of Trump’s pitiful ‘State of the Union’ ramble on Tuesday. At the end of his lies Ms. Pelosi tore up her copy of the speech. Many believed that it was retaliation for his immature and vindictive act at the beginning of the evening when the schoolyard bully refused to shake her outstretched hand. It was not; it was planned long before the reality show began.

It was no surprise that this fake Republican Party faked outrage. One of Trump’s minions, Matt Gaetz, is leading the asshat charge by filing an ethics complaint against Pelosi with, get this, the claim that “Nobody is above the law.” Gaetz is calling for a criminal referral, claiming that Pelosi violated a statute dealing with “Concealment, removal, or mutilation of documents,” as if every single physical copy of a document is sacred. This temper tantrum about Pelosi tearing up a document is especially special given that—as Dana Houle pointed out on Twitter—Trump is known to tear up papers after he finishes with them, in violation of the Presidential Records Act. (I admit that I laughed out loud the first time I read this hilarious effort to defend the worst president in history.)

Let’s make this perfectly clear. Trump is above the law, but everyone else who follows his lead is a criminal if they sit on the other side of the aisle? Hypocrisy is a synonym for any man or woman who claims the label of ‘Republican;’ with the exception of Senator Mitt Romney. There is one Republican left in Washington; the rest are now members of the ‘Trump Party.’

Speaker Pelosi is thrilled at the reaction to her simple, declarative act. She anticipated the backlash and welcomes the childish response by Trump’s cronies.

Trump continues to threaten retribution for the Democratic Representatives, Senators, and one Republican who believed in their obligation to follow the directives in the Constitution and do the right thing. I ask you; has another president ever sought such vindictive action against his detractors? Has any man who claims to be the President of the United States ever acted so childish? Has one party ever relinquished its powers and responsibilities and pledged loyalty to the executive branch in this manner previously? Is it not clear that Trump is mentally unfit to lead a nation of 330 million people? And, how long will the American people allow the buffoon in the White House to disgrace the office of the presidency?

With Trump pretending to be the president, and his party refusing to perform their elected responsibilities, I am ashamed to be an American.
