If you read the title, you may not believe it, but the truth is Moscow Mitch’s Republican senate took one of its powers back from the tyrant in the White House.
With Trump as our illegitimate president, and Moscow Mitch doing his errands, even a glimmer of hope is promising. Today the senate passed a resolution limiting President Donald Trump’s authority to attack Iran without congressional approval, delivering the president another bipartisan foreign-policy rebuke and flexing its constitutional power over military actions.
The resolution was introduced by Tim Kaine of Virginia and requires the president to cease all hostilities targeting Iran within 30 days unless explicitly approved by Congress. It passed by a vote of 55-45.
“War is the most solemn responsibility we have, and it cannot be outsourced to anyone,” Kaine said ahead of the final vote. “We have a special obligation to make sure we deliberate — and deliberate carefully — before we send troops into harm’s way.”
The House is likely to pass the resolution, but Trump is expected to veto the measure. He has been consolidating his powers at an alarming rate since the cowardly Republicans in the senate refused to convict their criminal-in-chief after his trial in the senate.
Most of you may not know the process, but if Trump does veto the measure, the House can override his action by a two-thirds vote. The question is the same as always; “will the hypocritical and cowardly Republicans in the House do the right thing?” I seriously doubt it. Overturning the veto would require 291 votes; there are only 232 Democrats in the House; that means 59 Republicans would be required to do the right thing. And why would they start now?
If it doesn’t bother you as much as it bothers me that Republicans are fully aware of the fact that Trump is destroying our nation piece by piece, and they are allowing him to do anything he pleases, you obviously don’t care what happens to your family’s future. No one can be that stupid; he is the worst illegitimate president in America’s history, and his ego is in overdrive; he believes that he is above the law and can get away with anything.
It’s up to you and me to save the America of our founding fathers. Our vote is a lethal weapon and can win this war. Trump and every Republican up for reelection must be retired. Tell everyone you know that voting on November 3rd is a must.
