Just months ago, I was convinced that Jeff Sessions was the worst Attorney General in history. His actions while in the position were racist and filled with bigotry. However, Trump’s replacement, William Barr, was and remains far worse. He immediately ignored his duties as our nation’s top law enforcement officer and became Trump’s personal defense attorney. From censoring documents which would have incriminated his boss, to beginning investigations into the affairs of his adversaries, Barr has refused to protect the laws of the United States of America, including the many violations of the narcissistic egomaniac occupying the White House.
Recently Trump complained about the sentencing of one of his puppets, Roger Stone. He insisted that the Department of Justice intervene and greatly reduce the nine-year sentence suggested by DOJ attorneys. The four experienced prosecutors immediately resigned. Now for the fun part.
Barr complained that Trump’s tweets ‘interfered with his ability to do his job.’ Trump ignored his puppet’s request.
First, I believe the entire situation is a charade. Hundreds of former federal prosecutors have demanding that Barr resign. This is most likely a joint effort by Trump and Barr to relieve pressure on the AG and end valid criticism for his poor performance.
If any of this is true, and Trump continues his criticism of the DOJ, it proves once again that for Trump loyalty is a one-way street.
After a cowardly Republican Party in name only acquitted a guilty DJT on February 7th, the orange child’s ego became twice its already enormous size. He realizes he was given full immunity and laws will never apply to him.
His cowardly party will never stop the mentally incompetent man hiding in the White House, watching cable television. It’s up to us, the American voter, to do the right thing Republicans refuse to do.
Before the 2016 election most Republican politicians belonged to the “anyone but Trump” club. A last effort by the RNC to support another horrible man, Ted Cruz, failed miserably. After Russia and the mainstream television networks aided his win in the Electoral College, these same men and women turned 180 degrees and became hypocrites bowing to the demands of their fascist leader.
We are in a similar situation today. Any candidate offered by the Democratic Party would be far superior to the buffoon running amuck in Washington. Real Americans are not solely voting to remove Trump from office, we are voting his hypocritical party out of Washington. They do not represent you or me, and we should send a message to Moscow Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, Joni Ernst, and every member of the House that if you refuse to do the job for which you were elected, you will be retired; permanently.
