It has long been claimed by millions of men and women that there are ‘two Americas.’ Those of us who work for a living and understand the daily struggle; minorities who continue to face racism and bigotry; and women who are denied equal rights guaranteed by the Constitution; we have known this fact for decades. However, after 2016 we learned that a third America exists, and this one belongs to Donald John Trump.

After more than three years of lies and unconstitutional actions, I decided that Trump actually believes everything he says or tweets. In Trump’s world he believes that the American people love him; his enormous and fragile ego demands it. He continues to claim that he won the popular vote in 2016. Trump refuses to admit that photographs prove that his inauguration was attended by a very small crowd. Although there is no longer any doubt that Vladimir Putin aided him in his win in the Electoral College, Trump continues to deny the fact. His most dangerous illusion is that he believes he is a monarch, and not an elected public servant. This, and the failure of his party to do the right thing, convinced him that he is above the law.

Trump knows nothing about the real world. His life of luxury and privilege shields him from recognizing the fact that the American people are facing serious problems; problems he was illegitimately elected to solve. Trump has no time to learn how to perform the job for which he was elected. His priorities are playing golf, partying at Mar-a-Lago, holding hate rallies, and watching television while eating junk food. He lives the life of a wealthy man at taxpayer expense and considers this ‘normal.’

Trump has not entered into this fantasy alone. His party, Fox Noise, and other extremist blogs and radio broadcasts continue to enable the orange child. Laughable conspiracy theories repeated constantly include the “deep state,” the “witch hunt,” “this Russia Hoax,” and the “liberal media” allow Trump to believe that his world actually exists.

Although the evidence at his impeachment trial was overwhelming, and Trump should have been removed from office, there remains a much bigger issue. Trump is mentally deficient and is beginning to show signs of senility and possible dementia. Just months after Trump was gifted the Electoral College, 25 of our nation’s most respected psychiatrists signed a letter questioning his fitness to be the President of the United States. Today, we know they were accurate in their assessment about Trump’s lack of mental fitness to lead our nation.

Trump is a danger to our nation’s future. He sees himself as ‘god-like’ and believes that his opinions and ideas are superior to all others. His inability to think clearly and logically; the imaginary world in which he exists; prevent him from remaining in the White House.

This is reality. In the White House an obese, mentally deficient, senile old man is pretending to be our nation’s president. Although Trump has never made sense when he speaks, he is beginning to lose the ability to complete sentences and pronounce common words and phrases.

Although it is not uncommon for someone who lies constantly to forget his past fallacies, Trump is beginning to contradict statements and tweets from just days in the past.

Trump must be forced to accept a psychiatric evaluation. The results would undoubtedly require invoking article 25 and his removal from the White House.
