Trump was in India over the weekend. He was there to celebrate the recent victory of controversial Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The 100,000 seat stadium was filled to capacity celebrating the illegitimate President of the United States’ appearance in their country.

As he began to speak, Trump fumbled over multiple words and embarrassed himself and our nation once again. After several minutes of his failed attempt to make sense, some of the attendees began to leave.

BBC News India kept a running total of the Indian words Trump managed to mispronounce, including Ahmedabad, the city where he was speaking. He reportedly referred to the Indian philosopher Swami Vivekananda as Swami Vivekamanan, and called the Vedas—ancient Hindu religious texts—“Vestas.” He also mangled the names of India’s biggest cricket stars.

This should be no surprise to the American people, Trump constantly mispronounces common English words, including the name of his wife. At least once he called his trophy wife Melanie in a tweet.

Recently many mental health experts have questioned Trump’s mental competency. He continues to fail the English language, and more importantly forgets his train of thought mid-sentence. He has never appeared to be fully capable of intelligent rhetoric, but he now appears to be increasingly senile and displays signs of dementia.

Trump has proven himself to be unfit to lead our nation since 2017. The President of the United States must have exceptional intelligence; the ability to organize his thoughts; and the wisdom to seek the advice of those who have greater knowledge than himself. Trump fails to satisfy any of these requirements which would qualify him to claim the title of President of the United States.
