This election cannot be focused on removing Trump. He is the worst illegitimate president in history, but there is much more at stake for 330 million Americans than the removal of a fascist tool of foreign leaders.
The truth is that not a single critical issue facing America on January 20, 2017 has been addressed by Trump and his circle of sinners. Biden has offered nothing related to these same problems during his campaign. He is a “status quo” politician and to stand still is to fall behind the rest of all developed nations.
Biden continues to brag about his association with President Obama. In my estimation Obama was a great president, but he was not perfect. Biden cannot be allowed to rest on the laurels of his president; what has he done for America?
I know what he has not accomplished and this worries me. Our country is in great danger of annihilation. We are self-destructing under a fascist who shares Vladimir Putin’s plans for our nation’s future. Biden criticizes Trump but has failed to offer a new direction for America after 2020.
Biden does not offer a single solution for reversing the destructive actions of DJT and has no ideas how to care for the needs and wishes of 330 million Americans; most of them one-half of his age.
Although it’s true that Bernie is older than Biden, the ideas of the Senator from Vermont are aligned with our younger nation. For the last seven years I have been writing about politics in Washington. I admit to being ignorant about the failings of the Democratic Party over the last 30 years. One of my favorite old ‘adages’ has proven to be the truth: “All governments are bad, but some are worse than others.” Today the government of the United States of America is one of the worst in the world. Great changes are mandatory. None of our problems have been solved in more than three years and action is necessary and it must begin on January 20, 2021.
Our government has failed to provide for all of our nation’s people for the last three decades. Biden is a member of the failed political environment which led to this unacceptable situation. He is not a progressive, and the truth is that in government you must be progressive or you are regressive; there can be no in between.
Both Democrats and Republicans are afraid of Bernie Sanders. He has exposed the failures of unbridled capitalism and government officials who are more concerned with reelection than serving the American people. The gap between the super-rich and the working class is unacceptable. It is the working class which made the wealthiest of Americans what they have become. For the rich to ignore the contributions of millions of Americans is a crime. The nation of our founding fathers will become nothing more than a memory if income inequality continues to grow.
Finally, we know what Bernie will do about income inequality, healthcare, education, and women’s rights: what will Joe Biden do in his first 100 days? No one knows, and no one seems to care. I do.
