Benjamin Netanyahu and Donald Trump have been compared to each other multiple times. The reasons are obvious, even to the uninformed. Both men are arrogant egomaniacs. Both men refuse to take the advice of others. Both men attack their adversaries with lies and innuendos. Both men have been accused of multiple crimes against their countries.

The truth is that after Trump was impeached he should have been removed from office by a cowardly senate. The evidence against Trump was overwhelming, but Moscow Mitch McConnell refused to give his fuhrer a fair trial. He and the orange child prevented any witnesses from testifying, making the process a sham. Only Utah Senator Mitt Romney stood up for the Constitution and the American people.

Last Monday, in Jerusalem, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu roared, “This is the biggest victory of my life!” By Thursday he was ‘crying in his celebratory beer.’ In the words of Netanyahu’s centrist rival and Israel’s probable next prime minister, Benny Gantz, “Someone here celebrated too early.”

Netanyahu has been indicted for bribery, fraud, and breach of trust. The trial is set to begin on March 17.

Gantz and one-time defense minister under Netanyahu, Avigdor Lieberman, now a staunch adversary, proposed a law forbidding any legislator from forming a government while indicted for a crime. The motion has the approval of 62 of 120 members of the Knesset; Israel’s form of a parliament.

So far three elections have taken place in Israel between Netanyahu and Gantz with neither candidate receiving a majority. It appears to be less likely that Netanyahu will continue as Israel’s Prime Minister after recent events.

Netanyahu has been the biggest obstacle to peace in the Middle East. He repeatedly refused to negotiate with Palestinian leaders, and continues to allow “land grabbing” by Israeli builders in the West Bank.

A final note which is the definitive reason why there never has been a peace agreement in the Middle East. Israel was granted ‘Statehood’ in 1948. The Palestinian people are still waiting. Every attempt by the United Nations to end this situation has been blocked by the United States.
