The truth: it was Nancy Pelosi who was the most reluctant Democrat to Impeach Donald John Trump. She spoke openly about her fears that it would destroy our government and once and for all divide the American people. However, Trump’s actions forced her to lead the House into the process. The Constitution required legal action against a corrupt president who repeatedly violated the Constitution.
The Constitution impresses one fact on our nation above all others: no one is above the law including the president who is an elected public servant. Trump’s abuse of power and efforts to obstruct justice could no longer be ignored, unless you are a hypocritical Republican in name only.
When Trump was impeached, every real American celebrated. He was revealed as the most corrupt man ever to claim the title of President of the United States. If 52 cowardly Republicans in name only had kept their oaths of office, Trump would not be defiling the White House today.
On February 7th these hypocritical men and women informed Trump that he is above the law; above the Constitution, the Law of the Land.
Before I continue, impeaching a president is the most difficult duty a member of Congress must decide. It is never an easy decision and, much like the Supreme Court, the members of the House must decide if a sitting president has violated his or her oath of office.
Therefore, regardless of how much I despise this illegitimate president I could not celebrate the fact that DJT is only the third president in American history to be impeached. This fact will be in every history book written in our nation’s future.
Trump cannot celebrate his acquittal in the senate. Moscow Mitch McConnell refused to allow a single witness. This singular fact proves that the trial was a sham. Moscow Mitch declared him ‘innocent’ before the sham began.
However, he continues to pout. Trump is desperate to create a stimulus package which would defer the cost caused by the coronavirus which is damaging his reelection attempts. This will rely on the House and Nancy Pelosi’s decision regarding funding of Trump’s plan. His anger directed at Pelosi forced him to recuse himself from the negotiations which will now be the responsibility of Secretary of the Treasury Steve Mnuchin, as reported by NBC journalist, Eamon Javers. “It doesn’t seem like that would end well,” Javers said of the thinking of White House aides about trying to get Trump and Pelosi together.
The man who claimed to have written “The Art of the Deal,” and told his supporters in 2015 that “he would be too busy making great deals to play golf,” which is what he was doing this past weekend, refuses to negotiate with the most powerful woman in America.
“What the White House would say is, that’s Pelosi’s fault,” Javers explained, “because she ripped up his speech, she’s been tough on him, she impeached him and therefore the president has every right to not want to be in a room with her.”
All I can say is “wah wah wah.” The baby in the White House is unable to face a strong woman. He is a weak and ineffectual draft dodger.
Finally, Trump is far more interested in the economic effects of the coronavirus than the health of the American people which reveals once again his lack of concern for the American people and the future of our nation.
