So far 129,604 people around the world have been affected by the coronavirus. 4,749 people have died in 14 countries. More than 1,000 cases have been confirmed in the United States.  The World Health Organization has officially labeled the coronavirus a pandemic. But Matthew Schlapp is not concerned.

Schlapp is the chairman of the American Conservative Union; one of the oldest conservative lobbyist groups in the country. As you would expect he attended the recent lovefest for rich, white, old men called CPAC. It was confirmed that at least one of the old men in attendance was infected with the virus. However, Schlapp, who has no medical background is ignoring the WHO and the CDC.

“Coming out of CPAC, one thing we’ve learned is, even when there’s an infected person among thousands, it’s very, very difficult to contract this virus.” Actual medical experts say the opposite.

I can no longer hold back my opinion of every right-wing politician, every organization which supports Republicans, and Fox Noise: your denial of science makes you all the biggest morons on the planet. None of you should be allowed to hold office at any level or offer your dangerous and facetious opinions to the American people. All of you are a disgrace to your country and the human race.

While we’re discussing science, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention climate change. This week two large glaciers broke from the ice cap in the artic. 2019 recorded the highest average temperatures in history. Tornadoes, hurricanes, wildfires, and droughts have been more severe than at any time in modern history. 99 percent of the world’s climate scientists have confirmed the irrefutable fact that this phenomenon is caused by man’s use of fossil fuels. The one percent who disagree are paid liars hired by the petroleum industry.

In November, if you vote for any right-wing denier, you are ignoring the future of your children and grandchildren. My fellow Americans, the truth is that climate change is the single greatest threat to world peace and to the very existence of millions of people around the world.

The coronavirus is a danger: climate change is more frightening than a nuclear missile. We are discussing the future of the entire planet.

Let’s wake-up and decide to be an informed nation.
