If you read my rants, you deserve a laugh today. First, I’m sure all of you know that Trump does not believe in science and initially denied the possible dangers of the coronavirus. So here is a statement he made on broadcast television today.
“I’ve always known this is real. This is a pandemic,” says the malignant narcissist today, after each of his failures has now caught up with him, and with us. “I felt it was a pandemic long before it was called a pandemic.”
I can’t decide if Trump is mentally deficient, or simply a pathological liar. From Trump’s denial of climate change to his claim that the coronavirus would “just go away,” he constantly proves that he is ignorant. The truth is that he is both of the above.
Trump looked very unhappy as he and members of his circle of sinners announced new guidelines for fighting the coronavirus. The truth is that his ideas have already been implemented by governors across America.
We should all be pleased that Trump seldom has an idea. When he does, he acts without seeking advice from others and the result is always a disaster.
When he had an idea to increase tariffs on imports, he began a trade war with the world’s second largest economy. Jobs have been lost. Businesses were forced to close. Foreclosures on farms increased. Farm incomes have dropped to the lowest levels witnessed in the last 90 years. Bankruptcies and suicides are on the rise.
Trump’s decision to repeal Obamacare would have been political suicide. The man who knows nothing was pushed to replace our nation’s healthcare law while voiding the Affordable Care Act. Together with Moscow Mitch McConnell, and Lyin Paul Ryan, they hastily pushed a poorly written and destructive bill through the House in just weeks; the ACA took a year to write. Thanks to three Republican senators, including the late John McCain, it was voted down in the senate.
Trump decided it was reasonable to pass a law which would reform our antiquated tax laws. However, the bill he and Moscow Mitch pushed through congress offered benefits only for the wealthy and corporations. Short term cuts were given to the middle class. The super-rich were given permanent tax cuts. And the corporate rate was lowered to a ridiculous 21 percent, allowing some of the largest corporations, including Wal Mart and Amazon to pay nothing in 2019. The end result was an additional 1.2 trillion dollars added to the national debt in that same year.
Prior to initially taking no action to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, his least-productive and most expensive decision was to meet with North Korea’ murderous dictator not once but twice. Trump’s ego desperately needed attention, and he attempted to make himself into a folk hero. Instead, he made a fool of himself and our country.
Returning from both meetings Trump lied to the American people, claiming that there was an agreement made which would end Kim Jong-un’s testing of missiles and escalation of efforts to manufacture nuclear weapons. Just days ago, North Korea launched two more missiles into the ocean.
I won’t even discuss his idea to have two sons. They are an embarrassment to him and the United States of America.
Trump is incapable of making wise and informed decisions. Now, as your illegitimate president, his rash decisions are a danger to America’s future.
Someone in his circle of sinners must inform Donny Boy that lying your way out of every situation is not working any longer. Even some members of his cult are learning that “the emperor has no clothes.”
