For the last several days, Trump and his lying friends have interrupted “Let’s Make a Deal” to tell tall tales to the American people. On Friday, when a reporter asked Trump what he would say to people who are extremely frightened by the coronavirus, Trump didn’t answer. Instead he attacked the reporter.
NBC News reporter Peter Alexander asked Trump whether he was giving Americans “false hope” by touting unproven coronavirus drugs.
As usual Trump refused to answer a direct question.
Toward the end of the exchange, Alexander cited the latest pandemic statistics showing thousands of Americans are now infected and millions are scared.
Alexander asked, “What do you say to Americans who are scared?”
Trump, shaking his head, ripped into Alexander in response.
“I say that you are a terrible reporter,” Trump replied. “That’s what I say.”
The President proceeded to launch into an extended rant against Alexander, saying he asked a “nasty question” and assailing NBC and its parent company, Comcast.
“You’re doing sensationalism,” Trump charged. “And the same with NBC and Comcast. I don’t call it Comcast. I call it ‘Con-Cast.'”
“Let me just tell you something,” Trump added. “That’s really bad reporting. And you ought to get back to reporting instead of sensationalism.”
There is something wrong with this schoolyard bully’s tiny brain. No common sense, and no words offering civility and compassion. Trump is not an American president.
Even George W. Bush had words of comfort after 9/11. This is Trump’s national crisis and he is failing miserably. As long as Trump is defiling the White House, I will remain ashamed of my nation’s government, which has become the worst in the world.
