Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves Places Thousands of his State’s Citizens in Danger

Mayors in several Mississippi cities ordered the closure of businesses to slow or halt the spread of the coronavirus. Another red state governor ignored the welfare of his people and vetoed the mayors.

Tate Reeves placed profits before people in an act of obeyance to DJT.

“There’s no question that the purpose of the order was to keep businesses open, which is good for the economy,” Tupelo Mayor Jason Shelton told the Mississippi Free Press. “It’s definitely putting protections in place for the state’s economy. The flipside is that it’s doing that at the expense of human lives.”

For more than 30 years Republicans have proven that the American people are less important than the profits of businesses big and small. Money is priority number one even if it is accomplished through the loss of human life.

Failures often begin at the top. Trump has displayed his inability to lead time and time again. Why should we expect Republican Governors in red states to be any better? In times of crisis the American people look to their leaders and when it’s a national situation, they look to their president. Today, millions of Americans are looking at a vacant seat in the Oval Office. Donny Boy is incompetent and unwilling to do the right thing for the American people. The ‘economy’ is his only concern. “Profit before People” is the motto of the once Grand Old Party.
