Actions do Speak Louder than Words: Trump is all Empty Words and no Action

Chef Andres

In part, this story is about one senile old man whose incompetence as the illegitimate leader of 330 million Americans is the problem and not the solution for defeating the coronavirus. More importantly, it is about a man of conviction and compassion who has no need to brag about what an inspiration he is for the people of the world.

Chef José Andrés has been there whenever and wherever he has been needed, and this is why he is on the cover of ‘Time Magazine.’

Politicians talk a lot but say little. They seldom take actions which have positive results for the American people. Chef Andres is the just the opposite. He was in Puerto Rico, feeding thousands of men, women, and children who had no food, no water, and nowhere to sleep after Hurricane Maria devastated the island of 3.4 million Americans. Meanwhile, Trump threw paper towels at the people.

Most recently, when the passengers of the Grand Princess cruise ship were in a San Francisco port awaiting to depart, Andres flew from New York to set up an impromptu kitchen to feed the passengers, several of whom were very suffering from the coronavirus.

He continues to be wherever needed.

“Andrés’ rapidly expanding charity, World Central Kitchen, is as prepared as anyone for this moment of unprecedented global crisis,” TIME reported. “The nonprofit stands up field kitchens to feed thousands of people fresh, nourishing, often hot meals as soon as possible at the scene of a hurricane, earthquake, tornado or flood”—and now, while Trump intentionally fumbles another yet disaster, a pandemic.

Actions continue to speak louder than words, and Andres is a perfect example of what it means to “do the right thing.”

“’My friends,’ Andrés told his staff, ‘maybe this is why World Central Kitchen was created,’” TIME continued. “It was during Hurricane Maria that Andrés learned to cut through government bureaucracy to fill a leadership vacuum and feed the masses. From a niche nonprofit supporting sustainable-food and clean-cooking initiatives in underdeveloped countries like Haiti, World Central Kitchen has become the world’s most prominent first responder for food.”
