In Spite of the Greed and Arrogance of Major Corporations, it is the Working Class which Dictates America’s Economy

Capitalism (2)

Millionaires and billionaires overrate their personal importance to America’s future. They believe that money creates power and power is absolute. Their arrogance is not only despicable, it is extremely flawed.

First, 10 percent of all Americans control 90 percent of our nation’s wealth. However, that 90 percent is responsible for our nation’s economical future. If the working class is left without disposable income, businesses are forced to layoff employees. The smaller the number of men and women engaged in America’s workforce, and the fewer jobs with good wages, the lower the GDP, and the economy begins to move towards a recession.

Trump’s failed fiscal policies combined with the negative effects of the coronavirus are causing enormous damage to our nation’s economy. Last year Trump’s policies added 1.2 trillion dollars to the national debt. Some economists claim that our country is in the beginnings of another depression.

Congress passed a stimulus bill, and that bill was signed by your illegitimate president. I believe this is another ‘knee-jerk’ reaction and will cause more damage to our nation’s economy. The only part of the bill which should have been passed involves unemployment compensation for workers who remain unemployed due to a form of quarantine.

Other Americans do not need to be subsidized, and corporations are unworthy and should not receive 500 billion dollars in bailouts from taxpayers.

The focus should be on America’s working class. When we work, the country thrives.

No one misses a CEO or even members of boards of directors who retire or leave corporations for other reasons. They are virtually unnecessary. They are nothing more than overpaid symbols of a company’s success. It is the worker who actually makes the products, services those products, and engages in public relations in various situations.

Unrestricted capitalism resulted in a fragile economy, but our leaders in Washington just don’t get it or don’t want to.
