Taking into consideration the fact that Moscow Mitch McConnell has failed the people of Kentucky and the people of America for over three decades, the worst senator in our nation’s history is also its biggest loser. His placement of partisan politics first is the primary reason our government is dysfunctional. Moscow Mitch is the architect of the “party of no.”
Although he was an original member of the “anybody but Trump” right-wing in 2016, after his illegitimate election by the Electoral College, Moscow Mitch turned 180 degrees and bowed to your impeached president’s every demand: even if it violated the Constitution.
If you read me, you know that I remain opposed to the nearly universal stimulus package passed hastily by congress, and signed by your illegitimate president. However, new packages are under consideration which would provide money for the repair of our infrastructure and other vital necessities which would grow the economy. This should have happened in 2017, but your “do nothing president” ignored the fact that our country is crumbling.
Like his fuhrer, Moscow Mitch wants to wait and see how serious the pandemic becomes.
“I think we need to wait a few days here, a few weeks, and see how things are working out,” McConnell said on “The Hugh Hewitt Show.”
“Let’s see how things are going and respond accordingly,” he added. “I’m not going to allow this to be an opportunity for the Democrats to achieve unrelated policy items that they would not otherwise be able to pass.”
Once again Moscow Mitch is placing politics first and leaving the American people far in the distance. He is adding to his long list of failures.
However, that is not the worst lie Moscow Mitch is telling the American people. He is attempting to blame Trump’s inaction and failure to lead America on Democrats.
In an interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt, McConnell said that the crisis “came up while we were tied down in the impeachment trial. And I think it diverted the attention of the government, because everything, every day was all about impeachment.”
“Tom figured this out early, and he was absolutely right,” McConnell added, a reference to Republican Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas, who he described as the first to sound the alarm in the Senate about the situation unfolding in China. Cotton came under criticism for floating theories about the origin of the virus including suggesting that it might have originated in a lab in China.
First, if Trump read the ‘Presidents Daily Brief’ he would have known about the growing health situation in China. It is not the responsibility of congress to anticipate world events: this belongs to the executive branch and the information composed by his security agencies. Second, Cotton has proven himself to be a traitor to his country time and time again. No one should listen to him, and no one should vote for him.
Most importantly, while Moscow Mitch has accomplished nothing in his too-long career, House Democrats were simply performing their Constitutional duty. Trump was impeached because he broke his oath office and violated the Constitution. This is an irrefutable fact and DJT will forever be known as one of only three presidents impeached in American history.
If Republicans had the courage to do the right thing for their country, Trump would not have been in a position to face the coming pandemic. Now Trump has another mistake; another failure to add to his list.
