Neither Moscow Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, or in the past, Paul Ryan, has kissed Trump’s humongous derriere more than Fox Noise’ fake journalist, Sean Hannity. His devotion to the worst illegitimate president in history is a personal embarrassment and an embarrassment for our nation.

Fox Business pundit Trish Regan was fired for publishing her “Coronavirus Impeachment Hoax.” Although Hannity has spread far more lies in an attempt to protect Trump’s failure to take action weeks ago, he remains in the network’s employment.

Erik Wemple is a media critic for the Washington Post. His comparison between Regan and Hannity reveals a far more egregious misrepresentation of Trump’s failures by Hannity than Regan.

Wemple laid out Hannity and Regan’s commentary side by side, and pointed out they had said almost the same thing: “Hannity, Feb. 27: ‘They’re now sadly politicizing and actually weaponizing an infectious disease, in what is basically just the latest effort to bludgeon President Trump.’ Regan, March 9: ‘Many in the liberal media using, and I mean using, coronavirus in an attempt to demonize and destroy the president.’”

His criticism was based on Hannity’s own actions which violate the very principles of the fourth estate.

“As reported in this blog, he once earned a public rebuke from the network for participating in a video promotion for Trump’s 2016 campaign,” wrote Wemple. “He earned another public rebuke when he appeared onstage with Trump at a 2018 rally, at which he called assembled media ‘fake news’ even though staffers from his own network were in attendance. He attacked his own network’s polling, even though that unit at Fox News is widely respected. He has cited bogus polling in defiance of news-side standards. He has used the same lawyer — Michael Cohen, now serving a federal prison sentence — as Trump. And who could forget the Seth Rich episode?”

In 1986 Fox began its goal to assist Republicans in their efforts to win elections and reelections. This cannot be denied. It is not a legitimate news organization: It is a right-wing propaganda machine. Many of their present and former on-air and behind the scenes men and women have been ostracized by legitimate news agencies. Bill O’Reilly, Megan Kelly, and others have been shunned by legitimate networks.

As long as Fox continues to employ paid liars such as Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham, Jeanine Pirro, and others, it will never be known as a legitimate news network.
