When I make a mistake and open a social media site, I often see negative pictures or remarks about Democrats. I am an independent voter and have no loyalty to any one politician from either party. However, today’s Republican Party in name only no longer possesses the principles of the Grand Old Party.
Let me be clear; I admire some Democrats, but not the ones you might think of first. I find some of the younger members of the House doing the right thing more often than Democrats who have been in office for far too long. They appear to be less interested in elections. The Constitution is paramount in their service to our country, and therefore place our people ahead of the profits of big business.
However, the attacks on Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Adam Schiff are unfair and unwarranted. They did the right thing. Speaker Pelosi resisted impeaching Trump until she was forced to file charges by your illegitimate president. He was blatantly abusing his powers, pretending to be a king and not a public servant. His actions after he was impeached warrant a second impeachment. That may yet come to pass.
Republicans should be angry with senate Republicans, specifically Moscow Mitch McConnell. Trump did not have a fair trial in the senate; it was a sham. Not allowing witnesses or new evidence is not a trial by any definition.
Most of all, you should be angry with yourselves. You have allowed yourself to be fooled by the orange con man. If you cared about the truth, a very short search for the facts would prove that everything Trump says is a lie.
I read that Republicans believe what Trump is saying about the coronavirus and how he is handling the situation. The truth is simple if you look at the facts. Donny knew about the threat of a possible pandemic in early January. He ignored the reports from his national security agencies, called it a “hoax,” and claiming that it would end quickly. Over the next two months he golfed and held his infamous hate rallies.
When he did take action, he signed the ‘Defense Production Act,’ but left it sitting in a desk drawer for nearly two months. If he had acted quickly masks, ventilators, and other life-saving equipment would have become available much earlier as the pandemic spread.
One day I hope all Republican voters will realize that Trump’s presidency is a façade, and that his party is covering for his crimes and many mistakes. He has no idea what he is doing and is using tax dollars to live the life of a real billionaire golfing, partying at his resorts, and holding rallies to soothe his fragile ego. He has accomplished nothing in over three years. The truth is, he has harmed our economy with a horrible decision to add tariffs, and his tax breaks for the super-rich and corporations, which are bankrupting our nation. Trump has divided our nation more than at any other time since the Civil War. Two facts even the most loyal Republican voter cannot deny: in 2019 Walmart and Amazon paid zero dollars in taxes, and in that same year 1.2 trillion dollars was added to the deficit. Both are the result of Trump’s inability to create a sound economy.
