Intelligent, caring governors did the right thing. Efforts to slow the spread of the coronavirus including ‘staying at home’ have proven effective. Governors in red states chose to protect Trump and ignore the dangers of the pandemic.

As the virus began to spread in Michigan, Governor Gretchen Whitmer ordered a lockdown. With more than 27,000 cases statewide, and 1,700 deaths, she did the right thing for the people of her state.

White supremacists and right-wing extremists opposed scientific fact and the governor’s order. On Wednesday they stormed the steps of the capital in Lansing. A large contingent of the hate group, and Trump supporting “Proud Boys” were armed with military assault rifles. They blocked traffic and held up “Trump Pence 2020” signs.

Our nation is divided more than at any other time since the Civil War. The mainstream media would like you to believe this division is between anti-Trump Americans and Trump supporters. Although this is basically fact, who these Trump supporters are typifies the changes in America caused by Trump, Pence, Moscow Mitch, and of course their propaganda machine, Fox Noise.

Trump supporters are composed of racists, bigots, and fascists. The election in November will likely be between Trump and Joe Biden. On the surface it appears to be Republican vs Democrat. However, Trump is not a Republican.

I am an Independent voter and Trump does not possess the principles or ideals of the Grand Old Party. He is the leader of the White Nationalist movement in America. Trump does not respect the Constitution, the document he promised to “preserve, protect, and defend.” He lied on inauguration day and continues to lie about everything today.

So, here’s what we must do. We must get out the vote. Not only registered Democrats, younger Americans must be encouraged to save their future. Our nation is becoming more diverse every day, and every man and woman who is part of this demographic must vote. A large turnout can send Trump and his party home permanently. The American dream can be revitalized. Together we can rid our nation of the anger, hatred, and violence supported by Trump and his circle of sinners. We can once again become the ‘United States of America;’ a nation filled understanding and compassion for each other.

Your vote is powerful. It can defeat the party of millionaires and billionaires and return America to the majority; the working class. This is our nation, not theirs.
