To Save America, Democrats must Take Back the Senate in November

Capitol

There is no question, Trump must be removed from the White House and exiled to his golden tower in New York or his millionaires only resort, Mar-a-Lago. However, Democrats must take back the senate. Moscow Mitch McConnell and his cowardly subjects have failed America and by surrendering the powers of congress to Trump, have destroyed our nation’s government.

Moscow Mitch has failed the people of Kentucky and the United States for nearly 36 years. When the discussion of term limits arises, Moscow Mitch is the poster boy for limiting the time politicians can remain in office in Washington. This 78-year-old man created the “party of no,” and is the reason our government is dysfunctional. His policy of refusing to deliberate or compromise has destroyed democracy. Today, there are more than 300 bills on his desk awaiting a vote in the senate. The House did their job, passing legislation beneficial to all Americans, including our military and their families, but Moscow Mitch has refused to allow a single vote.

Some Republican senators have expressed concern about the November election, and polls reveal that some voters in red states are looking at the facts and considering voting for Democrats for the first time in decades.

In Kentucky, Moscow Mitch leads Democratic challenger, Amy McGrath by only three points.

In South Carolina, Lindsey Graham remains the favorite, but Democrat Jaime Harrison is outraising the Trump lackey.

In Maine, Democrat Sara Gideon, currently holds a three point edge over incumbent Susan Collins.

As demographics change across America, other Republican senate seats are in jeopardy: Cory Gardner, Colorado; John Cornyn, Texas; Thom Tillis, North Carolina; Martha McSalley, Arizona; and David Perdue, Georgia all face strong challenges in November.

Finally, the facts which matter. Red states and blue states may be of less importance in 2020. The largest voting bloc in America belongs to millennials; young men and women born between 1981 and 1996. If they choose to go to the polls in large numbers, they can decide all future elections. Second, and of equal importance, women dominate our population with 51 percent. Once again, women could repeat the ‘pink wave’ of 2018 and reject Republicans. More women were elected to office in the midterm elections than at any other time in history.

The truth is that one entire party, led by Moscow Mitch, has proven to be traitors to the American people. They are the party of the wealthy and have ignored the needs and wishes of the working class for four decades. Time to take our country back from the super-rich.
