You probably saw pictures of Mike Pence at the Mayo Clinic. If you haven’t, he’s easy to find: Pence is the only person not wearing a face mask. Although he was informed by the famous medical facility long before his visit that a mask was required, he refused to follow the rule.

Now, not only is he lying about his reason for not wearing a mask, his “mother” is adding to the falsehoods. When Karen Pence was asked about her husband’s refusal to follow the rule on Fox and Friends Thursday, this was her fallacious answer.

“That’s a great question, I’m glad that you asked me. First of all, it was a great visit to Mayo — they are doing amazing research with blood from recovered Covid-19 patients — and as our medical experts have told us wearing a mask prevents you from spreading the disease and knowing that he doesn’t have Covid-19, he didn’t wear one. It was actually after he left Mayo Clinic that he found out that they had a policy of asking everyone to wear a mask. So you know, someone has worked on this whole task force for over 2 months is not someone who would have done anything to offend anyone or hurt anyone or scare anyone. I’m glad that you gave me the opportunity to talk about that.” Really?

The entire Trump administration is incapable of telling the truth about anything. I laughed and laughed a couple of days ago when Trump’s latest chief of staff claimed that Trump works so hard he ‘sometimes forgets to eat lunch.’ We have seen his “work schedule.” It usually begins at eleven in the morning and ends around three in the afternoon. He has to have time to watch television to learn what is happening in the country. Trump cannot define the word “work.” He and his Klan have never worked a day in their pitiful lives.

The sad truth is the entire right-wing is built on lies. The truth would destroy these Republicans in name only. They would never win another election if the American people would vote based on facts and not what they hear and see on fake television “news.”
