I Celebrate Costco as the only Major Retailer to take Action Immediately and Taking the Coronavirus Seriously

Costco (2)

More than 61 thousand deaths. More than 1,000,000 cases of the coronavirus. These are the statistics today about the current pandemic in the United States. Governors of blue states took action early as the virus began to spread across the nation while the federal government chose to ignore the danger to the American people.

The first major retail company to take action was Costco. They required their customers to maintain social distancing and restricted the number of customers inside of their stores. They also established early hours for the most vulnerable Americans, seniors, immediately. Yesterday they notified their customers that normal business hours would return on Monday, May 4th, and senior hours would be from nine to ten a.m. Monday thru Friday. They also informed their customers that masks would be required for entry to protect their customers and employees. I cheered their obvious concern for the safety of all involved.

Some of the morons who depend on Costco for their needs during the pandemic decided to support their idiotic and illegitimate president and deny the safety of everyone until this crisis ends.

“Adios #Costco! Won’t be renewing my membership!” a Twitter user said on Tuesday in response to the new policy. “I cREFUSE to mask up for the low IQ mob that’s falling for the propaganda, not to mention the health risks by restricting oxygen!”

I am certain that Costco will agree with me that these morons are not welcome and will not be missed. Common sense must prevail.

Masks have been proven to be the most effective tool in preventing the spread of the coronavirus. I do not enjoy shopping for my necessities when others obviously have no interest in my safety.

Costco’s response was clear and definitive.

“We know some members may find this inconvenient or objectionable, but under the circumstances we believe the added safety is worth any inconvenience,” CEO Jelinek wrote. “This is not simply a matter of personal choice; a face covering protects not just the wearer, but others too.”

My response is, don’t like the policy, good riddance. You are what is wrong in Trump’s America. His fantasy world is not mine.
