For the last 39 months Trump has attempted to hide his incompetence with lies and misdirection. He is not bright enough to realize that these tactics are no longer working. “The Emperor has no clothes.” The question waiting to be answered is will his failures result in multiple losses for Republican political candidates in November?

Prior to the 2016 election the majority of Republicans denounced Trump as “unfit,” “unqualified,” “immoral,” and other terms which were far less kind. After Trump’s illegitimate win in the Electoral College these same men and women abandoned their principles and bowed to the orange buffoon’s vile and unconstitutional policies and actions. Will they pay for their cowardice and hypocrisy in November?

Campaigns in South Carolina and Kentucky my offer an answer. Two old, white men who were adamantly opposed to Trump’s election prior to November 8, 2016 are fighting for reelection.

In South Carolina Jaime Harrison is challenging Lindsey Graham. Earlier this year Graham had a double digit lead over Democrat Harrison. As Trump and his party continue to fail the American people during this pandemic, and his party chooses Trump’s illegitimate presidency over the health and safety of the American people, polls reveal diminishing support for Republicans. Graham now leads Harrison by just a few points.

Moscow Mitch McConnell is a very old, and useless politician. He is completing his sixth term; 36 years of failure in the senate. I have been praying for a Democratic candidate in Kentucky who can defeat the 78-year-old failure who has become the poster boy for congressional term limits.

Amy McGrath is now tied with Moscow Mitch in recent polls. Defeating the old man would not only be a victory for Democrats, it would be a victory for the people of Kentucky and our nation. Sitting on Moscow Mitch’s desk are more than 320 bills passed in the House. The worst senator in American history has refused to allow a vote on any of them. Many of these bills would protect voting rights for all, offer aid to Americans who need it most, and care for our military and their families after they return from war zones.

My fellow Americans, there is hope for the return of common sense and a decent, functional government in Washington. We can elect younger men and women who love our country and are in touch with the people of a nation who average  38.2 years of age.

As I am writing this at 10:45 a.m. PDT on the 13^th of May, 2020, the old, white, Republican men and women in the senate announced that they will vote against a second coronavirus stimulus package passed in the House. This is proof that Republicans serve only the wealthy.

The House bill would protect average Americans, small businesses, and provide temporary tax relief for the middle class. The right-wing will only pass legislation which adds billions of dollars to the wealthiest Americans and large corporations.

Please, if you love your family, friends, and your country, vote on November 3^rd, and encourage everyone you know to do the same. We can take our country back; it belongs to us, not to a failed political party composed of old, greedy, arrogant white men and women.
