Right-wing politicians shake in fear when they are forced to face their biggest enemy; the truth. Every Republican learns the same campaign method; tell voters what they want to hear. In other words, “make promises you never intend to keep,” and when elected work for the special interests who paid for your election.
Trump follows these guidelines to perfection and adds one more. He creates conspiracy theories as often as most people take showers. Misdirection is necessary if he is serious about reelection. He cannot win when he is forced to face the truth, and he will not win if his lack of accomplishments are seriously scrutinized. He has already begun.
Trump failed to address the first serious crisis of his illegitimate presidency. He completely ignored the possibility of a pandemic for months. When he needed a diversion from his obvious ignorance and failure, he made up a conspiracy theory. This time he blamed China.
Trump continues to claim that Covid-19 was created in a Wuhan laboratory to intentionally infect America, a tactic to win the trade war begun by Donald Trump.
When asked to produce even one piece of evidence to support Trump’s allegation, there were no surprises. He and his circle of sinners were unable to support their theories. But Trump continues to offer his claim to his cult, and as usual, they are falling for a lie; a con.
Trump’s staff is making up evidence, citing street closures in the area of the lab for weeks, and unusual cellphone activity. Scientists continue to believe that the virus began with a bat. After biting another animal, the coronavirus was spread to one person. The rest is now history.
One more time, because it has been proven over and over again. “If Trump’s lips or thumbs are moving, he’s lying.”
