The right-wing couldn’t wait to damn Joe Biden for a senseless remark. Meanwhile, fake Republicans and the media ignore the hundreds of vile lies and conspiracy theories Trump spews from his mouth and tweets with his tiny thumbs every month. The GOP and the mainstream media continue to express a double standard: hold Democrats to the highest possible standard, and give Trump a free pass.
This began in the 2016 campaign. The media was complicit with right-wing politicians. There was a never-ending discussion about Hillary Clinton’s use of a private e-mail server, although she was never charged with even a misdemeanor. Trump and his campaign staff were allowed to lie constantly. Trump’s rhetoric was filled with anger, hatred, and the encouragement of violence. He has been accused by more than 20 women of sexual assault. The “Access Hollywood” tapes revealed a sexual deviant who admitted that he is a sexual predator. Trump refused and continues to refuse to release his tax returns; proof that he is hiding crimes from the American people. Once again, the media gave Trump a free pass. Silence in these situations is a lie.
This was Biden’s “huge” mistake.
“Well I tell you what, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black,” Biden told Charlemagne tha God in a radio interview for “The Breakfast Club.”
I am not defending Biden’s thoughtless statement. However read just a few of the horrible things Trump said just this weekend, and notice not once does he offer an iota of compassion for the more than 100,000 Americans who have lost their lives from Covid-19; many of which could have been saved if Trump had not failed to perform the job for which he was illegitimately elected. And also understand that the media did not criticize Trump for one of these lies or personal attacks.

* Retweeted a post calling 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton a “skank.”
* Retweeted a post suggesting — contrary to science — that hydroxychloroquine is an effective treatment for coronavirus, adding these words: “Many physicians agree with you. Also, some very good studies!”
* Retweeted a photo of former 2018 Georgia gubernatorial nominee Stacey Abrams that included these words: “She fought a tough race, kissed a lot of babies and visited every buffet restaurant in the State.”
* Retweeted two doctored photos of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi — one with a Trump 2020 face mask on and one with duct tape over her mouth. The tweet said: “To protect PolyGrip during this pandemic, we have developed 2 options. With the DJT option, she will be able to tongue and adjust her dentures more easily. With duct tape, she won’t be able to drink booze on the job as much.”
* Tweeted, with no evidence or proof, that mail-in ballots will produce “the greatest Rigged Election in history.”
* Retweeted an article about the death of an intern in then-Florida Rep. Joe Scarborough’s office, adding: “So a young marathon runner just happened to faint in his office, hit her head on his desk, & die? I would think there is a lot more to this story than that?”
* Tweeted this unfounded speculation about the 1990s death of the intern in Scarborough’s office: “A blow to her head? Body found under his desk? Left Congress suddenly? Big topic of discussion in Florida…and, he’s a Nut Job (with bad ratings). Keep digging, use forensic geniuses!”
* Tweeted that former Attorney General Jeff Sessions should drop out of the Alabama Senate race — accusing him of having “no courage, & ruined many lives.”
This happened over a 48-hour period, and not a single criticism from the mainstream media. Contrary to Trump’s lies and attacks, he has been supported by the media since June of 2015. He continues to receive five-times more television coverage than all other candidates, Democrat and Republican, combined.
If you watch television “news” you enjoy being lied to. On November 9, 2016, I vowed never again to allow an overpaid fake journalist to lie to me. I have not used my remote to view a “news” farce since that day. My IQ has risen several points, and my knowledge of what is happening in my country has greatly increased. Sometimes you have to look for it, but the truth is always there.
