Martin Gugino is a 75-year-old man who was pushed to the ground and hit his head on the cement. Officers of the Buffalo Police Department walked over him ignoring the fact he was bleeding from his ear. The video dominated the internet for a couple of days.
Mr. Gugino is a peaceful community organizer. That didn’t stop Trump from defending the police, claiming that the senior citizen is a terrorist working for Antifa.
He made up the conspiracy theory based on a white supremacist organization “One America News Network.”
“Buffalo protester shoved by Police could be an ANTIFA provocateur. 75 year old Martin Gugino was pushed away after appearing to scan police communications in order to black out the equipment,” Trump tweeted Tuesday morning.
There is absolutely no basis for Trump’s assumptions, but there is visual proof that he was pushed by two policemen in riot gear who ignored his injuries.
Aaron Torgalski and Robert McCabe — were arrested Saturday and charged with second-degree assault but were released without bail.
Here’s the funny part: at least I think it’s funny. Buffalo’s 57 member Emergency Response Team resigned in protest. Why do I find that funny? The city can easily replace the officers and train them properly. 57 arrogant and incompetent former policemen will be looking for new jobs.
Their low-level of ignorance proves they are Trump supporters.
