Okay, let’s get to it. Over the three-and-one-half years of Trump’s illegitimate presidency, we have learned two important facts. Trump is a much worse illegitimate president than our wildest nightmares could have imagined. His effect on our nation’s people and the future of the United States are the most devastating tragedies to face our nation in 244 years. Second, his hypocritical party is not only corrupt, it is composed of the dumbest men and women in America. They believe that they have outsmarted the average American, and they are very mistaken.
Let’s look at the Republican legislature in what has been historically the most extremist right-wing state in the Union since 1817 when Mississippi was granted statehood. It is immaterial whether they supported the Democratic or the Republican Party, they are racists and misogynists.
Trump, who has proven that he was likely absent at most of his classes in college, denies science and yet continues to fallaciously claim that he “knows more about everything than anyone else.” He has refused to lead our nation and suggest that masks would make an enormous difference in the more than three million cases of Covid-19 in America. While every expert in the science of virology agrees that masks are the simplest and most effective manner in which every citizen could reduce the pandemic, Trump denies the facts.
Republican legislators in Mississippi are tools of your illegitimate president. When in session, Republicans have refused to wear ppe, most importantly masks. The Mississippi health department is reporting that one in six Mississippi lawmakers have tested positive for Covid-19.
“Twenty-six state legislators have now tested positive for Covid-19, including Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann and State House Speaker Philip Gunn. Neither man wore a mask at a bill signing at the governor’s mansion last week.”
“We could have done more to prevent this,” State Rep. Robert Johnson III, the Democratic leader of the state’s House of Representatives, said in a statement to CNN.
“It seems it was all about some erroneous, dangerously promoted political stance. It’s disgusting. Our governor refuses to order statewide mask requirements and our leadership decided not to require it at the Capitol.”
Arrogance and ignorance go hand in hand, and no one in America is more ignorant than old, white, Mississippi men.
If the “south rises again,” our nation is in deep s**t.
