Is Attacking Your Opponent’s Husband “Presidential?”

Trumpenstein

Donald Trump agreed to an interview on CNN Sunday. What we saw was Trump’s constant need for approval, and his avoidance of the issues while attacking Bill Clinton. Same old Trump, and more proof that he must not be allowed to receive free public housing in Washington.

Chris Cuomo asked Trump about his comment, called Hillary Clinton an “enabler” regarding his alleged marital infidelity.

Cuomo pointed to a panel of independent voters, saying, “Most of them don’t like it, they see it as a distraction, they see it as hypocritical coming from you, and mostly they see it as potential proof that you may have no real ideas to offer as president. What is your thinking on this line of attack?”

“Well this is a nice way to start off the interview,” Trump responded in the phone interview. “First of all, you should congratulate me for having won the race. I thought there at least would be a small congratulation. But I’m not surprised with CNN.”

Poor little Donald; he didn’t get his gold star. He must have believed that he was on FOX Noise which always ‘softballs’ questions to Republican candidates.

Although some members of the GOP establishment stated that Trump’s demeanor would change now that he is the presumptive nominee, they were only hoping.

Trump cannot be anyone but Trump. His tactics to defeat Hillary Clinton will not change from his efforts in the primaries. He will call Ms. Clinton names, and accuse her of everything and anything he can conjure up in his twisted mind. He will renew the “e-mail farce,” and most likely the Benghazi tragedy.

Certainly he will continue to talk about Bill and Hillary’s past; but he must be cautious. Trump has dozens of skeletons in his own closet. However, if Ms. Clinton decides to attack Trump, she need only to direct the attention to his lack of qualifications to lead our nation. No experience and no knowledge regarding the workings of government prevent him from winning the presidency.

Trump refused to speak about substantive issues; he continued to berate our 42nd President.

“I spoke very little about that compared to other things. You took a small amount of the speech and you build it up like it’s the biggest thing in the world,” Trump said.

“But it is a big thing. Look, he was the worst abuser of women,” Trump continued.

“You just said I’m making too much of it, now you say it’s a big thing,” Cuomo interjected.

“Excuse me – as a politician, in the history of our country,” Trump finished.

“He was impeached, and then he lied about it,” Trump continued. “The guy was impeached for lying.”

Trump continues to inform his supporters about ‘how smart he is;’ if this is the real trump, he appears to have the intellect of a grammar school child. He was given an opportunity on Sunday to tell the American people what he will do for them if he is elected. Instead, he followed his own pattern of being defensive; defending his vile words.

Personally, I shudder when I attempt to put three words together; President Donald Trump. Really?
